hello snowflakes!

so get this:

i go into my local consignment store with a good friend of mine. he was looking for an ugly sweater to wear to an ugly sweater christmas party. while in the changing room, i was half-heartedly perusing the tiny ladies section, when i feasted my eyes on this.

white. eyelet. stretchy. grandma. retro. PERFECT in all it's poofy-sleeved perfection.

so i take it up to the counter and the lovely old woman told me it was going to be $3.00. Now, i'm not an experienced consignment shopper so my jaw dropped at such a low price. The poor woman must have misunderstood by shock and awe and she was quick to say:

"i'll let you have it for $1.50"

a dollar. and fifty cents.

you can hardly get a decent cup of coffee for that price. needless to say, i've worn it almost everyday this week.

hello again!

hopefully some of you will stick with me through my blogging rut. i decided i really missed playing dress-up and prancing around in snow and flowers and grass with my camera in tow.

anyway, i took my fabulous new black cape that was a steal at $24 (off of $80), for a spin through the forest. it was a bit of a throw-back to little red riding hood, especially with the bright red hair i've been sporting these days.

hello darlings!

i'm so sorry i've left you for so long. it's been hard to keep up with blogging and find motivation to write. this is a frustrating business, and it's all about popularity. i just need to remember that i'm doing this for me.

anyway, me and my favorite boy spent the weekend in jasper, alberta where i went to some of the most beautiful places i've ever seen. i was finally able to use my new awesome boots that are cringe-worthy to look at but so, so practical.

had some time before work, so i headed down to a nice field right before the sun set. sorry i've been so lame lately (again). next week is another trip to edmonton so i'm sure i'll have lots of new outfits to blab about!

these are probably some of the most fantastic, creative princess dresses you'll ever see. designed and created by the lovely Devani Weaver over at senseofashion.com, they are available for purchase. my favs are the unicorn dress and cambio babydoll dress (both pictured below). oh! and can't forget the romper (wouldn't you just die for those ruffled pockets?!)

FINALLY

after almost a year of non-stop searching, i found faux-leather fingerless driving gloves!!!

(that picture has nothing to do with anything, by the way)

actually, i found 2 pairs (ha!). one from claire's (a little pre-teen accessories store) and aldo accessories. i bought the ones from claire's but they didn't fit so i returned them and got the aldo ones (which were much more beautiful). 

after i saw the beauties that louis vuitton put out for his spring2009 collection, i knew i needed them. I was almost ready to drop $400 on his creation. luckily, mine were under $20.

anyway, im currently trying to grow out my nails so i can wear them but i will debut them soon!!!

i found the most beautiful rose-covered gazebo downtown the other weekend while strolling with my boy. it's breathtaking and right out in the open but it's so well camouflaged by rosebuds that i've never seen it before.

whipped out the thigh-high boots for another stroll down the lake. i still get some looks when i wear them since this little town isn't very fashion forward haha. at least i tried to pair it with something lacy to tone down the stripper-quality of the boots.

hi loves.

i apologize in advance for the massive overload of photos your about to see and  i hope nobody's internet slows down from trying to load them all. 

this is a mix of an outfit post and a photography post, which is why there are so many photos. plus, when you sit in poison ivy while doing a photoshoot, i think one become entitled to post however many pictures one pleases, to distract them from the itching.

anyway, what a beautiful sunset we had tonight! unfortuntely, this lace blouse from f21 didn't catch the light as much as i had hoped, but it's beautiful in person. this is the skirt that my friends have seen me in 8 million times because it's the one i wear to work, to school, and to play. i love it!

have a fantastic weekend and please enjoy the sunshine for me while i sit in oatmeal baths.
