went down to the beach today. it's finally hit about 30degrees which is just cool enough here that you can go outside and not want to melt into the sidewalk. luckily, this jumper was perfect for the weather!

ps. thank you all so much for your amazing comments you've been leaving lately. my heart literally skips a beat everytime i see that someone new has written something wonderful.
i love you all!

went log-jumping with a friend this weekend at the lake. so beautiful and fun! only had time to snap a couple photos of my super casual outfit, so sorry they are not the best.

i love summer.

the way she move

you know how in zoolander, derek can't do "blue steel" to the left? he always, always has to pose to the right?

well, today i realized that i always, always post to the left. ha.

finally posting pictures of the awesome ben sherman tank that i won through squarectomy's sweet contest a few months back. i paired it with these used-to-be jeans that i cut-off and shredded. awesome summer outfit for when the sunny sunshine hits 36 degrees like it has been lately. ugh.

hey, mystery girl.
i don't know who you are, but i think these photographs i found of you on andrew f.'s flickr are stunning.

 don't you?

Monday, July 20, 2009

obviously i'm so flippin' rad that you all should want to know ten entirely useless facts about myself. the darling gracie over at squarectomy tagged me, so read on, friends.

one!- i love rapping. like, for serious. throw me eminem's most tongue-busting rhymes and i will spend however long it takes to master it...white gurrl, style.

two!- i hate tomatoes, but i'll put ketchup on anything. anything.

three!- one time last year, i fell in love with a really expensive coat, so i didn't buy groceries for two weeks so that i could buy it. i'm pretty sure that i spend so much money on clothes, i'm going to end up homeless, but at least i'll be livin' on the streets in killer shoes.

four!- i'm so accident-prone, it's almost a skill.

five!- old people holding hands actually is the cutest thing ever.

six!- roadtrips over the mountains on sunny days with good music and good friends is makes me feel so happy and alive.

seven!-  i once said the word seven so many times that it lost all meaning and sounded really weird. now i don't really like it.

eight!- last week, i stepped on a spider by accident and apologized to it because i felt so horrible for it's untimely death.

nine!- i like music that most people think is depressing or sad. i just think it's mellow and comforting.

ten!- i'm so afraid of ladders. if i climb too high on one, i'll freeze up and i can't really move which is kind of tricky when trying to get back down.

i'll get my fashion on soon, i promise.
love you all.

one more weight and you won't survive.

i didn't realize until today how long it has been since my last post. sorry to being so lame.
i've been laying low these past couple of days.

multiple forest fires have sprung up around kelowna, where i live. they are huge and intense and many people have had to evacuate they're homes. so far, myself and almost everyone i know has been very lucky, so fingers crossed that things will be okay.
i was sitting downtown by the lake tonight, watching the smoke. the sun was orange from the thick, black smoke clouds and as ash was blowing over the water,  i have never felt so small and so alone. it's a strange feeling.

i also just wanted to thank my lovely readers for following me and hearing what i have to say! youre comments mean the world to me and i so appreciate hearing feedback! thanks so much :)

hi, heels!

ohmigod ohmigod ohmigod.

i'm a little late posting about these but it took some time to pry my jaw off the floor.
i need these shoes. i live for shoes like these.

jeffrey campbell is my own person shoe god.

these fabulous unicorn heels come in black, nude, and metallic gold and will cost you approx. $149. the price isn't bad, but good luck finding a pair! they are selling out fast. i wish i could get my hands on them because i think they would look totally killer with some sinfully skinny jeans.

in the sweet summer heat

hola chicas!

finally got a new digital camera! it's just a little point-and-shoot panasonic lumix but it takes lovely photo's and at least it didn't fall out of a tree like my last one (may it rest in peace).

i've been itching to get some outfit photos done, so here you go! this is what i wore today to run errands (well, minus the four-inch heels. those are simply for fashion photo's sake). unfortunately, i underestimated how flipping hot it was outside (35celcius!) so i just snapped a few quickies before i dehydrated from sweating (ew).

have a fabulous weekend, my loves!

then the puppy  showed up!

topshop dreamer

okay, it's probably about time i actually got around to posting something at least slightly clothing related...

more often than not, i draw the line at skulls, but the t-shirt (above) is something different. it feels almost more like art.

even though we definitely don't have topshop in canada (which is super lame, by the way), a girl can dream. here's my short-but-sweet wishlist:
