beach baby

went down to the beach the other night for a beautiful sunset. i wish i had the words to describe some of vancouver's beaches. this one in particular is called Spanish Banks, and at low tide, it stretches for ever across the ocean.

anyway, the weather was FINALLY short-appropriate! so i threw on my insight high-waisted glitter sparkle shorts, with this flowy white top from forever21, and my new fav flower headband :)

just uploaded this pics from my latest adventure to Granville Island in Vancouver. I hadn't been there before this weekend and it was super rad. I wore this floral dress from Forever21, which I later found out is quite see-through. oops.

bought this hat from urbanoutftters today. not sure if it'll last in my wardrobe but i'll try it out with a few more things. what have you bought recently?

i can't even contain my excitement for what i found on itunes last night. even though there album was released a few months ago (nov. 2009), i haven't heard it until now...and i'm in L-O-V-E.

it's such a throw- back to those bluesy-jazz days, with a catchy beat and some creative hip-hop rhymes, and I can't get enough. enough outta me, see for yourself:

i hope you are all having a fantastic day, jumping puddles in the rain if you live in the rainy city like myself.

just got home from a very fashionable interview for a very fashionable school, but i don't find out until friday or monday if i got in so please cross those manicures for me!

I didn't know what to wear so i kept it casual in black skinnies, a blazer and a plain white tee. and obviously, i rocked my new retro headphones (a steal at $12!)

why hellllloooo there.

i'm finally back :) and thinking of a namechange, so if gunbarrelbutterfly suddenly grows some pretty wings and flys away, don't be surprised.

in the meantime, how i've missed you all!!!!! after breaking one camera and losing the next, i finally spent a whole month's rent on a digital slr, to get the kinds of pictures i've always wanted, so you can expect lots of outfit posts.

what have i missed while i was gone? how are you ladies doing?
